What role will you play in disaster relief?
Starting
this January the Tea Party Patriots of Monterey County will be joining the
Central Coast Tea Party Minutemen in presenting a five-part series on DISASTER PREPAREDNESS.
Part I of the series DISASTER PREPAREDNESS: An Introduction to the Central
Coast CERT Program will be held
on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in the Community Center of the Marina Public
Library located at 190 Seaside Circle In Marina. There will be a "mix and
mingle" from 5:45 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. with the meeting starting
at 6:15 p.m. Feel free to bring an appetizer or finger food to share.
Wayne
ONeil, Program Manager, Instructor, PIO of the Central Coast CERT Association
will be providing an overview of the "Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Program. He will be describing classes offered free of charge in basic disaster
response skills, such as fire safety, light search & rescue, team
organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT members are encouraged to
take a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.
